Payment and Cancellation Policy

We have created the payment policies below because in our experience, a thorough understanding of these policies and both of us accepting our responsibilities in following these policies enhances the likelihood of therapeutic success.  We believe payment problems can negatively impact your therapy experience; we hope that knowledge of these polices will help to avoid such problems.

For most clients who use insurance we are able to bill your insurance carrier for services rendered. If you choose to use insurance, your responsibilities include:

• Payment of your full co-pay at time of service

• Payment for all services not covered by your insurance

• Payment of your deductible at the beginning of your benefit year

In order to facilitate treatment planning and goal setting, it is important for all clients with insurance to take the responsibility to confirm with your insurance company the specific coverage you have for mental health treatment.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel an appointment, please do no later than 24 hours prior to the appointment so that we may spend that time with another client. If you are unable to cancel before the 24 hour period, you may be charged a late cancellation fee. In the event that you are late to your session, you may be billed for a full session, but we will only spend the time originally allotted for your appointment with you.  If you are in a group, please be aware you will be charged for every session even if you are unable to be there (depending on group policy).
